MTC Day

Sending Mckay off was tough, but it always is, right? It gets easier as time goes by though which is really nice. Brad and I were lucky to be able to accompany Mckay and my parents to the MTC to drop him off. When they came to pick us up Mckay saw some old sunglasses of Brad's that he rarely wears and Mckay loved them. So Brad gave them to him, you'll see them in some of his mission pictures. We first went to the temple to get a few pictures before we went to the MTC for the curb side drop off. In front of the temple he ran into one of his buddies from high school who was also going in to the MTC, so that was fun for him. We took some cute pictures and then went to the MTC. We had our teary goodbye and then he was off. He seemed very calm, very excited for what was next. He was also very curious about how the MTC was going to be. It made it easier to let him go because of his attitude of excitement. The missionaries that were there to welcome him were very nice and encouraging.
